Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use FigureCal, including the calculators, written content, methodology documentation, and any other material published here.
Permitted use
You are welcome to use FigureCal's calculators for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes. Sharing links to individual calculator pages is encouraged. Citing FigureCal as a source in your own writing, with a link to the specific page and the date of access, is also permitted.
The following uses require prior written permission from the site owner:
- Embedding a calculator or any portion of it within another website, application, or platform.
- Redistribution of calculator outputs in bulk, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
- Using the site's content, design, or calculator logic as the basis for a competing product or service.
- Automated or programmatic access to the site for purposes other than ordinary web browsing (including crawlers, scrapers, and headless browsers).

Intellectual property
The calculator logic, formulas as implemented, written copy, page design, and methodology documentation on this site are the intellectual property of Wanyu T and are protected by applicable copyright law. Source data used by the calculators — IRS tax tables, BLS CPI-U series, Tax Foundation rates — is public-domain government or non-profit data and is credited inline on the relevant pages. The public-domain status of the underlying data does not extend to FigureCal's implementation, presentation, or accompanying written analysis.
Limitation of liability
These calculators are tools, not advice. They apply published formulas to your inputs and return a mathematical result. The accuracy of that result depends on the accuracy of the underlying data (which is sourced from official government publications and updated regularly) and on the completeness of the scenario modeled (which has documented limitations — see the Disclaimer).
Decisions made on the basis of calculator output are the user's responsibility. FigureCal and Wanyu T are not liable for IRS penalties, under-withholding, over-withholding, missed tax-planning opportunities, mortgage decisions, investment losses, or any other financial, legal, or regulatory outcome that stems from use of these calculators. This limitation applies whether or not you were advised of the possibility of such outcomes.
If you have a real financial decision to make, consult a qualified professional. See the Disclaimer for a full list of what these calculators do and do not model.
Anti-AI-scraping and extraction clause
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or programmatically extract the proprietary calculation logic, tax matrices, amortization implementations, or source code of these calculators for the purpose of training artificial intelligence models, building competing tools, or bulk data extraction. This restriction applies regardless of whether the source code is technically accessible in a browser's developer tools.
Calculation logic is proprietary even though the underlying source data (IRS tables, BLS CPI-U values) is public-domain. The selection, organization, implementation, and expression of that logic in working calculator code constitutes original authorship protectable under copyright.
Operators of AI training pipelines, large-scale web crawlers, and data-collection services are on notice that this site does not grant license for such use. Requests for a licensing arrangement should be directed to [email protected].
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. There are no user accounts on this site, so there is no mechanism for email notification of changes. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
